The Marion County Young Republicans are an energetic group of young adults, ages 18 to 40, who have been working for conservative candidates and policy since 2001. We realize that the choices that we make today will affect generations to come, and our desire is to do our part to restore the great Republic that our Founding Fathers and many others gave their lives to establish and defend for our generation. Obviously, we believe that this goal will be best achieved through the Republican Party. Some of our objectives are:

1. To bring young people into the Republican party, to provide an opportunity for them to achieve conservative political expression, and to train them as political workers, volunteers, candidates, and leaders in the political arena.
2. To provide a practical means by which members may contribute to the development and advancement of the Republican Party as a service to the United States of America, the state of Florida, Marion County, and its political subdivisions.
3. To support the conservative principles, objectives, and platform of the Republican Party.
4. To work for the election of all qualified, conservative, Republican Party candidates.

In our attempt to fulfull these objectives, we have contributed our time and talents to a variety of activities, including phone banking, precinct walking, petition gathering, sign planting, flier distribution, letter writing, fund raising, sign waving, voter registration, and more. We're always excited to support a conservative candidate with our time and resources.

Along with serving politically, we also organize or participate in general community service projects, such as making baby blankets for a crisis pregnancy center or doing yard work for a soldier's wife. And, of course, sometimes we just have fun! The "Second Amendment Rights Party" is always a favorite, with target and trap shooting.
