As the year progresses, we will be focusing more on the upcoming 2010 elections, which will include key positions such as federal representatives, the Florida governor, and county commissioners. Membership drives and fund raisers will be held to gather the resources necessary to serve the candidates with the most time and energy possible.

At the February meeting, Nick Robinson was elected to serve as MCYR President, leaving the office of Vice President open. The board has appointed Desiree McLain to serve the remainder of this term. Other business included scheduling the next adopted road cleaning, hearing a report from the FFYR Quarterly held in Orlando earlier this month, and welcoming back a member who had been stationed in Afghanistan.
